After last year’s summer party was so well received, it was decided to bring the “Christmas party” forward again this year and celebrate a big late summer party with all staff and their families.
With many bouncy castles for all age groups, a bungee trampoline, outdoor games and vehicles of all kinds, as well as face painting, there was also a good programme of activities for the nearly 120 children present.
André Göpfert opened the celebration with a speech and his forecast for the future, in which he is not worried about the Göpfert company despite general dissatisfaction with the current political situation.
Afterwards, the 72 employees celebrating their jubilee in 2023 were honoured. It is precisely the loyalty and many years of service of so many employees that are part of the recipe for success at Göpfert. All jubilarians were called up and received a gift. The jubilarian with the longest service record of 45 years has been with Göpfert since his apprenticeship! We thank them for their loyalty and commitment.
The meal was then opened with a hearty brass band accompaniment, during which André Göpfert did not miss the opportunity to bang the drum.
For the adults, there was something for every taste, from grilled chicken to spit-roast and vegetable stir-fry. A french fries stand with sausages and nuggets was the food magnet especially for the children.
We were particularly pleased about the delegation from our subsidiary Corrpal Systems in Ystad, Sweden. 21 employees travelled 14 hours by bus especially for our summer party. During the day, they visited the various departments in the company and were given a guided tour, and in the evening they joined in the celebrations.
As a singing interlude this year, the 36 trainees sang a birthday serenade for Per-Olle from Ystad, who celebrated his birthday in Wiesentheid.
After a short time, the children had taken over the area and were happily playing together.
In beautiful summer weather, many good conversations took place under the large sun umbrellas and there was an exuberant and cheerful atmosphere.
The queue at the ice-cream stall and at the popcorn and candy floss stalls was almost endless until late in the evening.
