Beaming faces at the Göpfert company summer party

Wiesentheid – After two years of renunciation due to the pandemic, it was finally possible to celebrate again without restrictions. The management of the Göpfert company was happy to take this as an opportunity to celebrate with a big summer party in the spirit of the family.

There were already many happy faces when the employees and their families arrived – especially among the children. As a surprise the Göpfert family organised a small fairground with a carousel, bouncy castle, can throwing, shooting gallery and even a sweets stand.

From the entertaining speech by senior Karl F. Göpfert, it emerged, among other things, that Göpfert continue to look forward to a very good backlog of orders for the coming months, but will not rest and continue to develop as usual with the customer in mind to always deliver the best machine.

The Chairman of the Works Council, Alexander Greß, thanked the Göpfert family for the very good cooperation. The very pleasant working atmosphere is not least promoted by the flat hierarchies of the traditional family company.

André Göpfert was also able to announce excellent news to the workforce: after receiving the “Bavaria’s Best 50” award in 2017, he and his sister Esther Göpfert were able to accept the award from the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs again this year.

But what worries him are the problems of finding suitable young skilled workers. In recent years it has become clear that it is becoming increasingly difficult to recruit new trainees. The trainees at Göpfert can look back on a long history of success: again and again the young trainees stand out with their outstanding performance. As in this year, which fills the management with great pride.

Since the traditional Christmas celebrations had to be canceled in the last two years, the honors for long-standing employees were made up for at this year’s summer party. A proud 55 employees can look back on a long service of 10 to 40 years.Another tradition, namely the singing of the new employees, could not be missing. The 80 (!) new employees merrily sang a song adapted specifically to the company.

This was followed by the leisurely part of the afternoon and evening with the best food and lots of fun at the fairground. The summer party was a complete success and will be fondly remembered by the around 650 guests present, including 159 children.
